Landworks was commissioned to design a family outdoor dining and social structure that would have an outdoor feel but could be protected from the elements, and of course the bugs.  A large existing home is on this property so we wanted to complement the existing architecture.  The family wanted to have a fireplace and an outdoor kitchen.

The location is near the rear of the house next to an existing outdoor spa between a beautiful forested back yard and a small manmade pond.

What we came up with is a heavy timber structure that with a deck that nestles along the pond.  In lieu of windows we proposed a wire mesh screen to allow air to flow through and prevent our flying friends to visit.
